Recently I was communicating with some leaders getting caught up in children’s & family ministry. They asked me what was the best way to get connected & understand what was happening .
What I told them was to do the following:
- Start with the list of the Top 100 children’s ministry blogs. Subscribe to them & you’ll get a good dose of regular input into the world of children’s ministry.
- Familiarize yourself with Orange, D6, Faith At Home and TRU. These are the primary “philosophies” (or strategies) in family ministry.
- Get connected at CMConnect.
- Finally, understand the great opportunity for helping families with special needs. Check out The Inclusive Church & Champions Club.
If a new leader did all this, they’d be off to a great start in understanding the world of children’s & family ministry today.
