Five Reasons to Quit Children’s Ministry

  1. You are begging for volunteers instead of building relationship.
  2. You are entertaining kids instead of engaging them for life-change.
  3. You are being the Lone Ranger instead of being a leader.
  4. You are providing childcare instead of offering soul-care.
  5. You are enabling parents to abdicate spiritual responsibilities instead of equipping to handle them.

What would you add to the list?

Whatever it might be…don’t quit.  Instead, equip yourself to lead effectively.  It’s a mindset and a steady implementation of principles that at first might seem counter-intuitive.  But they work.

When you want to quit…don’t!  Take a look at what you’re doing – ask for help even – and change the way you lead instead.
